Our bare-root plants are grown outdoors in garden beds in Southeast Minnesota. They can be planted during cold weather, any time the soil is not frozen. Our plants are at least 1-year old; many are 2+ years. For a naturalized look, recommended spacing is approximately one plant for every 1-2 square feet.
