Terms & Concepts: Sun Exposure: Prairie - Plants normally grow in full sun. Should do well with up to 20% shade. Savanna - Partially shaded (20% to 70% shade). Woodland - 70% to 100% shade.
Soil Moisture: Wet - Soggy or marshy most of the year. Wet Mesic - Excessively wet in winter/spring/after heavy rain, but often dries in summer. Mesic - Medium moist. Water soaks in with no run-off. Average garden soil. Dry Mesic- Well drained. Water is removed from soil readily, but not rapidly. Dry - Excessively drained.
Height: To find plants in a desired range (i.e approximately 18") choose multiple heights such as 12", 14", 16", 2' and 3'. Or, if you want plants under 1', choose all selections under 1' (2", 3", 4"... etc.)
