Kelly joined our team in January 2024, bringing several years of HR experience and leadership skills from a corporate retail grocery setting.  Quite the opposite of the Prairie Moon vibe! Kelly quickly settled in as our first Human Resources Manager: learning about the business, our staff, and the native plants. 

Kelly has used her knowledge and HR background to improve our procedures, clarify processes in every department, and introduced a suite of benefits for employees. Because everyone wears a multitude of hats at Prairie Moon, Kelly’s responsibilities go beyond HR. In our busiest seasons, Kelly coordinates staff to ensure all urgent needs are covered, but you will also find her working alongside our crews answering customer emails, packing and shipping roots, plants, or seeds, or helping with the harvests.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends -  and of course her two dogs, Goose and Aspen (part of our pack of office dogs!). Many days are spent outside on the river, at the campground, or working on a variety of home projects.
