Prairie Moon Nursery has partnered with the nearby Houston Nature Center to showcase nearly 100 species of native plants. The 30 acres of natives, seeded in 1998, includes the levee that wraps around Houston and a recreated wetland near the nature center, just inside the levee. The Nature Center is also the trail head for the Root River Bike Trail. This 50+ mile paved trail is considered one of the most scenic routes in the Midwest.
