Parthenium integrifolium (Wild Quinine)
The leaves of Wild Quinine have been used for tea in order to reduce fevers, hence the names Wild Quinine and Feverfew.
Delphinium exaltatum (Tall Larkspur)
This Larkspur has a much later bloom time than other Delphinium species. It is blooming in July when others, like Wild Blue Larkspur, are already dormant.
Andropogon scoparius (Little Bluestem)
Little Bluestem is a coppery pink all winter. Another Scientific Name commonly used is Schizachyrium scoparium.
Silene virginica (Fire Pink)
New! Fire Pink may also be called Scarlet Catchfly and it's these scarlet red
flowers that hummingbirds are attracted to. The sepals of the flowers
are sticky (like those of its cousin Silene regia, Royal Catchfly) to deter ants from climbing and feeding on the nectar.
