Stiff Aster is an attractive choice for rock gardens or dry, rocky slopes in full sun to partial shade. It grows in low (1') clumps with showy blue-purple blossoms and needle-like, single-veined leaves. Found naturally in pine woods, it can thrive in well-drained acid soils.  Other Scientific and Common names in use include: Ionactis linariifolius and Bristly Aster.

Dormant bare root plants ship each year during optimal transplanting season: Fall (October) or Spring (April/May).
