[Steve]- (May 4th) Hi is this is Steve at Prairie Moon Nursery. I’m in a north facing steep wooded hillside. Come summer this will be really a dark shady place – the leaves will fill in so it and will be very shaded. You can see fiddleheads around here that will turn into some really large ferns.  But right now we’ve got Anemonella thalictroides blooming – that’s the Rue Anemone. It does like a shaded situation. I know a place on the farm here that is actually growing in a fairly open, fairly sunny situation.  So, it’s woodland but also a woodland edge type of species.
