He studied Restoration Ecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s School of Natural Resources while attaining a degree in Landscape Architecture. Living in the relative natural setting of Wiscoy Valley Land Cooperative gives him a chance to make observations about natural and planted ecosystems, and the plants and animals who occupy those ecosystems, on a daily basis. One of Steve’s main jobs at Prairie Moon is designing seed mixes. One goal that Steve has for his blog initially is to explain and understand the process of native seed mix design.
