Video: Bloodroot and Trout Lily

[Steve] - (April 16th)  This is the Bloodroot – Sanguinaria canadensis. It’s a great spring ephemeral woodland edge / woodland species.  It likes a richer soil but it can go a little bit on the dry side.  Here it’s along side the Trout Lily (Erythronium albidum). You can see the Trout Lily pattern on the leaves there.

These are typical woodland species that would be growing together.
